Executive Recruit have another Interim Group Financial Controller job vacancy for a Bury St Edmunds based client – handled by our South East office.

Our established telecoms client in Bury St Edmunds is looking to appoint an interim Group Financial Controller to lead the function for a period of six months.

A major telecoms group with a sizeable turnover and impressive profitability, our client’s business has grown considerably and they are now a leader in their niche field. We are working on their behalf to appoint a Group Financial Controller to cover six months of planned absence. Available at short notice, you will manage the group’s entire financial function, encompassing a number of separate finance teams presiding over different activities and services from various locations. Managing diverse direct reports from across the group, you will impart your experience, knowledge and skills to ensure that your teams are successfully overseeing the smooth running of day to day accountancy procedures.

Working with the group’s CEO you will play an instrumental role in steering their financial strategy to meet and exceed overall goals, with a keen grasp on all financial planning, reporting and accounting. You will be a highly experienced finance professional who has previously worked within a plc and therefore fully proficient in statutory preliminary announcements and annual reporting requirements.

The group’s complete budget will come under your remit, as will overheads, analysis of performance and variance, margins, forecasts, policies and procedures. Possessing a professional qualification such as CIMA or ACA, you will oversee the preparation of all management accounts.

Along with an extremely capable numerical ability, you will contribute your own ideas to our client’s vision during this temporary assignment which will be remunerated at £500 per day and will initially be for six months but may be extended.
