A key role in the leading and development of a well-known nationwide utilities contractor’s electricity division.

This outstanding role has arisen due to retirement and presents an exceptional opportunity to take responsibility for driving forward our client’s electricity division. The incoming Managing Director will report directly to the Group Managing Director, leading the business into new, environmentally-focussed areas as it seeks to boost its profits whilst improving its image and CSR. P&L will fully be your responsibility and candidates must come from a highly commercial background, ideally in the energy and utilities sector. Our client is particularly keen for individuals who have worked overseas in Europe or America to apply for the role.

An astute commercial negotiator, the MD/CEO will be responsible for ensuring that the business’ targets and milestones are met or exceeded. You will maintain visibility and have regular contact with the media, so experience in interviews and media relations is essential, along with first class verbal and written communication skills.

Our client’s employee base is augmented by subcontractors, so the role requires some knowledge of employee relations, working alongside the HR Director to maximise employee retention and satisfaction. Priding themselves on the exceptional sales and service they provide to their customer base throughout the United Kingdom, our clients require someone who will prove to be a real champion, motivating the sales and servicing managers and their teams.
