Executive Recruit have another Operations Manager job vacancy for a York based client – handled by our Yorkshire office.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a pioneering pharmaceuticals company in Yorkshire to play an integral role in maintaining business excellence. This is an internally very visible role, working closely with the SMT and reporting directly to the MD at one of their specialist and most profitable pharmaceuticals sites.

As Operations Manager you will manage a number of direct line reports, from department and training managers, to IT and environmental/H&S managers. Along with an Operations Support Assistant, you will ultimately oversee supply and logistics, production, packaging, delivery management and continuous improvement.

Ensuring that the firm’s supplies are packaged and distributed on time and on budget is a key priority, as is ensuring that production at their busy factory meets customers’ demands. You will fully review and steer the packaging plan and operations in line with industry and environmental standards, ensuring that the documentation flow is fully optimised at all stages.

You will also be responsible for training, ensuring that it is given in a timely manner and that training records and documentation are kept up-to-date, along with H&S records and awareness initiatives.

Our client currently sells their supplies to UK customers but are in the process of formulating plans to market and sell their products overseas, so you will need to possess knowledge and experience of exports, along with an understanding of how the pharmaceutical industry works.

Working in predominantly rural surroundings, joining a team possessing a family-like spirit and being rewarded with a salary of upto £65k, candidates applying for this role must be educated to degree level and possess at least 5 years’ experience in a similar operations position.
