Join our highly successful manufacturing client in South Wales as their Logistics Director, providing leadership as they grow their export channels.

Ensuring that the business’ goods are distributed in line with tight deadlines, this role will see you working closely with the operations and sales teams to improve logistical efficiencies.

You will be responsible for managing a small logistics team who will oversee the various manufacturing processes and the shipment of those respective goods. Ultimately you will ensure that all the necessary documentation is prepared and correctly processed and that outstanding relationships are maintained with our client’s freight forwarding partners.
Meeting with hauliers and other logistics subcontractors, you will create and maintain a culture of best practice, focussed on excellence in service and delivery.  Fully trained in and having extensively used ERP and MRP systems, you will be from a supply chain, logistics or manufacturing background and possess current knowledge of industry compliance, shipping codes and environmental concerns. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to oversee a large company’s high-volume scheduling activities.
