Executive Recruit have another Procurement Director job vacancy for a Newport based client – handled by our Wales office.

This nationally known and respected FMCG brand seeks to strengthen its procurement function as the company looks to further grow its market share.

A unique opportunity has arisen to join an established FMCG leader who is looking to grow their UK and international sales. Candidates with strong backgrounds in all aspects of procurement will be preferably considered for this role which will require regular travel. Ideally someone with an impressive track record in the retail or FMCG sector, you will oversee a wide range of procurement-related tasks, including high level direction of shop-fitting, point-of-sale, category management and procurement capex.

You will effectively work across all business functions with teams ranging from finance and merchandising to logistics and operations, ensuring that our client’s procurement activities are aligned with these other departments and the firm’s overall objectives. With a strong analytical mind, you will produce forecasts and budgets, analyse tenders and negotiate purchasing for their FMCG outlets as well as maintaining fruitful relationships with the firm’s wide range of suppliers.
Possessing an exceptional knowledge of the FMCG market and a degree in business management, supply chain, purchasing or another similar specialism, your experience will play a key role in driving our client’s business forwards as they maximise their UK market share and profitability, ahead of potentially venturing into overseas markets.
