Executive Recruit have another Tax and Audit Manager job vacancy for a Shrewsbury based client – handled by our South East office.

A new role with our industrial client in Shrewsbury, overseeing all their tax and audit activities.

A large industrial business in the area with a turnover in the tens of millions, our clients require a highly experienced senior specialist fully versed in GAAP, to take responsibility for all taxation and audit, ensuring compliance, best practice and innovation are upheld. This new position will see you appointed over tax returns, planning, research and audits, in the industrial industry which is under increasing regulation, posing frequent challenges and opportunities.

Strongly guiding the finance team through all taxation aspects of transactional activities from restructuring to investments, you will manage all tax advisors, external suppliers and services. Working closely with the accounts department, you will undertake risk assessments, produce tax models, ensure compliance and correct reporting of tax, assess current practices and use your experience to provide efficiency recommendations.

Educated to degree level or higher in a related field, candidates must possess at least 5 years’ experience in a similar in-house tax and audit role and be fully proficient in Microsoft packages and accountancy software. Possessing outstanding communication skills at all levels, you must be able to work dynamically, prioritise effectively, motivate a small team and instil a strong sense of integrity, commitment and detail.
