Executive Recruit have another Production Director job vacancy for a Norwich based client – handled by our South East office.

An outstanding opportunity to lead production at an engineering company that has seen unparalleled success through its emphasis on innovation.

Our clients are an engineering business focussed on precision machining which they sell to a range of sectors throughout the UK and Europe. Their board and shareholders have ratified a major expansion plan which will see our clients open a new, second production site and they are seeking to appoint someone who can help the business meet and exceed its ambitious expansion targets.Managing both their existing production premises and their new facility, you will oversee the upgrading of their processes and systems and expertly lead and direct the production team, encouraging them to maintain operational excellence in all areas, with KPIs in mind.

Working with supply chain, finance and other departments, you will be responsible for the production budget and strategy, establishing and working for the achievement of targets encompassing cost, speed, quality and delivery. An exceptional communicator, you will be at ease with working with all levels of an organisation, from engineers to the board, to whom you will present production results and make continuous improvement recommendations. Ensuring that the production personnel all receive necessary training will also come under the remit of this role.

Our clients ideally seek to appoint a candidate educated to degree level or higher, ideally in manufacturing, with significant experience working in a senior engineering position and being a member of a professional body. A previous track record in low volume and one-off manufacturing is advantageous for this opportunity which will see you report to the Managing Director and receive remuneration upto £70k.
