Executive Recruit have another Head of Business Development job vacancy for a Coventry based client – handled by our Midlands office.

An outstanding opportunity within the retail banking sector, to drive incremental sales growth for our client, a major financial services provider.

Based in Coventry, the Head of Business Development (similar to Business Development Director) will be responsible for generating revenue growth by identifying and building relationships with new clients, maximising existing accounts and working with the wider business to allow our client to provide a greater volume of services through increased capacity.

Our client is seeking someone who can demonstrate substantial success in boosting revenue and profits within the retail banking sector, with a clear ability to be able to utilise networking opportunities to the full. The Head of Business Development must be a commercially astute individual with outstanding mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to gain a swift understanding of the challenges and needs that our client’s new and prospective customers have. Closely involved with the sales team and senior partners, you will play a proactive role in the bidding process, negotiations and account management, regularly in communication with key client accounts. In order to carry out the role effectively you will need to understand our client’s competitors and work with the insight and intelligence officers to plan marketing drives and other offensives.

A target-led role, you will need to demonstrate a keen appetite for generating new business for our client, and you will instil this same determination in the business development executives who will make up your immediate team.
Candidates educated to degree level with previous experience in retail banking are preferred, and the salary offered is £70k. You will be required to travel the UK on a regular basis and attend conferences and other networking events, along with meeting existing and new clients.
