Executive Recruit have another Interim Chief Information Officer job vacancy for a Sheffield based client – handled by our Yorkshire office.

A proven leader with a visionary approach to IT and outstanding strategic skills is sought for this 9 month contract as Chief Information Officer for our financial services client.

Our client is a major financial services company based in Sheffield, seeking to appoint a CIO to lead them through an imminent period of significant change. Essentially acting as IT Director whilst you effectively manage projects from a high level perspective, technology will be a means to an end, your main priority being that of achieving the business’ strategic goals.

Working closely with members of the board, senior management team, marketing and product development teams and your own IT team, you will use your amassed technical knowledge and experience to plan, deploy and evaluate systems upgrades, VOIP, wireless, smart phone app technology, QR and contactless technology projects from start to finish.
To be in a position to apply, you will possess exceptional business acumen and technical successes gained in a large company and have a deep understanding of all aspects of Information Technology. Not all stakeholders are as willing to embrace change, so you will need strong influencing skills and the ability to communicate effectively in the boardroom, presenting your sound financial arguments to the Finance Director.

Under your direction during this interim post, you will work with their exceptionally talented and hands-on IT Manager, along with his team of IT technicians, developers, architects and training staff, who will cooperate with HR to ensure that our client’s staff are trained on the new systems as they are brought online. Remunerated at £550 per day, this role may require some travel.
