Executive Recruit have another Head of Public Affairs job vacancy for a Sunderland based client – handled by our North East office.

A superb opportunity to join our pharmaceuticals client and make a substantial contribution to their overall strategy by leading their public affairs.

A high-profile business in the pharmaceuticals and bio industry, they require a high calibre leader to play an instrumental role in shaping their public affairs and stakeholder relations strategies.

This remarkable opportunity would be well-suited to hands-on, proactive public affairs professionals who can work both individually and collaboratively. You will report to the CEO and must have a proven track record in successful media liaison and management, as the role will bring you into contact with media outlets on a regular basis.
Working with the wider corporate communications team, you will play a key role in developing relationships with internal stakeholders in order to generate support. Stakeholder relationships will be monitored, evaluated and tracked by you in conjunction with an external PR agency.

Public sentiment is a common factor in our client’s brand image and the successful candidate will possess demonstrable experience in reputation management, damage limitation and image turnaround. You must be well-connected in regulatory and governmental circles and be at ease with lobbying and gaining support in such environments.

Exceptional written and verbal communications skills are a must for this permanent role, which will see the appointed candidate rewarded with a competitive salary and be based from our client’s headquarters in Sunderland.
