Having a long-standing relationship with this client, we are now shortlisting high calibre candidates for their latest role as they look to appoint an FD to take them to the next level and beyond. They are the leaders within their particular sub-segment of the financial services market and have built up an unrivalled reputation.

Based at their head office in Manchester, you will put your amassed wealth of experience to use by leading their sizeable finance team’s processes and activities in a pro-active, motivational manner, ensuring that the function is run efficiently and effectively. Ultimately responsible for all aspects from recruitment, payroll, contracts and invoicing to managing budgets, forecasting, management accounts, planning and reporting, you will bring a fresh impetus and lead them through an exciting period of planned growth as they launch their new services.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will evaluate all elements of the function, make recommendations for improvement and play a vital role in shaping the strategy of the entire business. Compliance will also form a key part of the FD’s job description as you ensure the company acts ethically and compliantly in the increasingly scrutinised market. You will be required to meet regularly with various internal and external stakeholders, investors, the FCA and other bodies.

Our clients require that the incoming Finance Director will be fully qualified in accounting (ACA, CIMA or similar), and a high achiever with exceptional, detailed analytical skills, dynamism in leadership style and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. The role comes with an attractive package including a car, excellent pension and a salary of £80k.
