Executive Recruit have another IT Project Manager job vacancy for a Cardiff based client – handled by our Wales office.

Lead and deliver high profile IT infrastructure and systems upgrade projects for our technical services client in Wales.

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our client, an innovative technical services company who provide solutions to end customers ranging from individual domestic clients and small businesses to the public sector and other large firms, including some multinationals.

The firm is ready to embark on major IT infrastructure and systems upgrade projects, which will revolutionise how their staff work. They need someone who can confidently hit the ground running, using their years of hands-on IT, project management and business experience to drive their projects to conclusion successfully, on time and on budget. Based at their main site in Cardiff, a number of our client’s projects are currently in progress, so you must be able to quickly gain a good understanding of live processes. Their initial priority is the procurement of server storage hardware and replacement document management systems, along with upgrading the security systems in place for their current networks.

With demonstrable previous IT project management experience and an in-depth knowledge of the latest IT software, hardware, best practice and processes, you will also be tasked with deploying Windows 7 across their entire organisation.
You need to be a strong communicator, as your remit as IT Project Manager will also include planning, delivering and continuously evaluating systems training, ensuring that all departments are comfortable using the new hardware and software. A confident, positive and enthusiastic person who relishes dealing with stakeholders both internal and external, along with suppliers, IT technicians and consultants, you will be proficient with Prince2 or ScrumMaster and an expert with operating systems including Linux, Unix and Microsoft.
