Executive Recruit have another Procurement Manager job vacancy for a Winchester based client – handled by our South East office.

An exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager in an IT company as it seeks to develop relationships with new suppliers.

This market-leading firm in the technical and information technology market has achieved a reputation for excellence, delivering outstanding solutions for their client base which includes several blue chip corporations. They are looking to appoint a procurement manager to streamline their current purchasing and logistics business, maximise internal economies and efficiencies and develop new supplier relationships.

As well as being responsible for securing the supply of our client’s own IT, technical and telephony requirements encompassing hardware, networks, infrastructure, software, storage backup and cloud solutions, you will also oversee their entire procurement needs. You will be accountable for category plans, strategies, procurement planning and tenders and will make regular recommendations to the board on potential improvements. Researching, identifying, forming and continuously developing relationships with new suppliers will form a key part of this role, as our client seeks to minimise costs whilst maintaining quality – so candidates must be adept at negotiating with suppliers.

Online web procurement is a key area our client seeks to strengthen and utilise to its full potential, so a deep level of understanding in this regard will be crucial. Candidates will be educated to degree level with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar management role and will be remunerated with a salary of up to £75k.
