Executive Recruit have another Head of Marketing job vacancy for a Plymouth based client – handled by our South West office.

A unique opportunity to lead a major energy & utilities company’s marketing activities as they seek to increase their market share and launch new services.

Providing a key role in developing the organisation’s marketing strategy, as Head of Marketing you will come from a senior level marketing background in the utilities or energy sector and possess strong knowledge of market and customer segments. Designing, delivering and evaluating the business’ customer marketing strategy, you will ensure all activities are aligned with our client’s mission and objectives.

An effective communicator at all levels, you will regularly liaise with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the organisation itself and also with external suppliers, industry regulators, government departments and scientific organisations. Our clients plan to introduce new, environmentally leaner services and strategies and seek to appoint a candidate who can turn carefully researched proposals into tangible, profitable marketing plans and strategies. You will be someone who is acutely aware of legislation and best practice governing the energy and utilities market and of the increasing need to ensure that all marketing activities including online comparison portals, field sales and smartphone marketing are all consistent and legally approved. Solid experience in customer insight, analytics and research is also an advantage as you manage the marketing team based in Plymouth, along with the business development executives and field sales teams throughout the UK.
Reporting to the CEO, this permanent role offers an outstanding salary of up to £75k and will include media and PR from time to time, hence providing good exposure for the successful candidate.
