Executive Recruit have another H&S & Environmental Manager job vacancy for a Aberystwyth based client – handled by our Wales office.

Join our leisure client and play an instrumental part in developing and implementing health & safety, environmental and quality as they seek new opportunities.

Based in Aberystwyth, Wales, this company owns a portfolio of leisure complexes, each specialising in certain activities and some with expansive outdoor facilities. Our clients are seeking to appoint a manager to preside over health & safety, environmental aims and quality, ensuring that all these facets meet the highest possible standards for their leisure patrons and staff.

Overseeing the entire company’s SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality) management systems and programmes across their multiple sites, you will also monitor their current practices, systems and standards to ensure they adhere to industry best practice. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external to implement and maintain ISO accreditations and certification, and you will impart your expert knowledge and experience company-wide including to contractors. Training, risk assessments, record-keeping, incident procedures, health and safety awareness, fire prevention and site quality inspections will be conducted regularly as well as preparing the company’s yearly health & safety and quality assurance audits.

A detail-oriented, fastidious individual, you will be educated to degree level, hold a professional qualification such as NVQ6, NEBOSH or similar, and possess at least 5 years’ experience in managing a large company’s SHEQ, ideally across multiple sites. A strong influencer, planner and communicator, you will be confident working under pressure and eager to better your knowledge and qualifications through study, courses and training. With a salary of up to £60k and an attractive bonus scheme, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
