An exciting role leading an established retail business’ public affairs activities as they embark on ambitious growth strategies.
This well-known Manchester retailer has a presence throughout the UK and has experienced steady growth despite challenging economic times. As a new role, they are looking to appoint a high calibre public affairs or corporate communications professional to lead their newly-enlarged communications team.
At a time when the company is starting to implement their ambitious expansion plans, public image and effective communications are essential. You will regularly liaise with local and national government, environmental and employment bodies, community groups, unions and other parties, in this high profile role.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will ensure that our clients’ respected reputation is maintained and with extensive travel around the UK, you will be the face of the business in the media.
A strong communicator, you will engage a wide mix of stakeholders both internal and external, balancing the needs of both for the ultimate achievement of our clients’ business objectives. Possessing a minimum of 5 years’ experience in public affairs at a senior level, you will develop, implement and evaluate their public affairs strategy, ensuring that best practices are upheld and that messaging is consistent, tactics are appropriate and new opportunities are explored.
This is a challenging and highly rewarding permanent role and our clients are offering a salary of up to £60k for the right candidate.
