Sales Director – UK & International

Location: South Yorkshire 

Salary: £80,000 – £85,000 + Benefits Package

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Sales Director with a strong background in driving global sales and expanding market presence. This role not only involves leading sales operations across the UK and international markets but also provides a clear path towards advancing to the UK Managing Director position. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with substantial financial expertise and a hands-on approach to management, coupled with a strong desire for career progression. This position is crucial in ensuring the company’s sustained market leadership and growth, both domestically and abroad. Experience in a senior leadership role with a focus on international expansion within the manufacturing sector, particularly in component services or solutions, is highly valued. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies that drive business growth, profitability, and market expansion on a global scale.
  • Set and achieve both long-term and short-term business objectives in line with the company’s strategic vision.
  • Provide clear, forward-thinking leadership to steer the company towards continued success.
  • Enhance operational processes to boost efficiency, productivity, and financial stability.
  • Design and implement advanced reporting tools for performance monitoring and analysis.
  • Manage the budgeting process to ensure sound financial planning and control.
  • Utilize market research and trend analysis to identify new opportunities and customer needs.
  • Inspire and lead senior managers and executives, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry leaders and stakeholders, enhancing the company’s profile through strategic networking and public engagements.
  • Oversee and manage business operations both within the UK and internationally, ensuring robust relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience 

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in a global sales leadership role is essential.
  • Significant experience in the manufacturing sector is required.
  • Experience in a component production or solutions-oriented environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong strategic marketing and business development skills, with a history of acquiring and retaining clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales growth and expand market share through effective strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
